It features a series of floor geysers, floor lighting, integrated seating, and shade. The park budget for the splash pad was $775,000. All of them were donated to the Arizona State Museum. Altogether more than 55,000 artifacts were recovered. As well as pottery shells, tools, and bones. The archaeologists that were working on this park also found more than 100 pit structures, 300 human burials and 100 dog burial. ![]() According to Tom Ellis (Director of the Marana parks and recreation department), Marana did an extensive archeological excavation of the area before building the park and found about two dozen adobe pit houses that were part of the Hohokam Indian Village. It’s attached to the Wheeler Taft Abbett Sr. The park is located on the east side of silverbell road, south of Cortaro road. As well as remnants of the Bojorquez-Aguirre ranch that was established in the 1830s. ![]() Tucson Local Media claims that the remains of a Hohokam Indian Village that dates between 11 AD are located there. It has play areas, soccer fields, basketball courts, splash pad, baseball/softball fields, a festival and outdoor performance area, and a dog park.
