Trophies are another kind of collectible that are available in every PlayStation 5 game (as well as the PS4, PS3 and PSVita). Now it’s time to collect a few more Trophies. There’s four of them in every level in the game, except for the PlayStation Labo and Network Speed Run areas. These items help fill in spots on the two large murals in the PlayStation Labo area. Puzzle Pieces are one of the main collectibles in the game. Touch it to collect it, and get the “ One Down, Lots More to Go!” Trophy. Look left and run to the slightly elevated section in the corner with three Wires: tug on all three, and Puzzle Piece #1 will appear. Tug on the Wires to get a throwable object, which lets you hit things from a distance! Now look left to spot a Coin Canister hanging from the tree like a coconut: when it has four blue arrows pointing at it, throw with Square to hit the Canister and get 5 Coins! Now cross to the opposite side of the plaza and repeat this to hit three more Canisters in the trees.Īt this spot, look at the wall between the red and green level entrys to find a ramp heading to the basement floor of the Plaza, where many different Bots are hanging out. To start, look left and spot two blue trees in raised circles, with a third circle between them with some Wires. Here you can select levels you’ve been to before and warp directly to them! If you’re the impatient type, press the Options button (the little button on the controller next to the Square and Triangle buttons) to bring up the Map Menu. With the CPU active, you can now explore the plaza! Eventually the Wires will give and something useful will happen! In this case, Astro awakens the CPU! Smashing the dome will reveal a new and very important device: Wires! Wires act a bit like switches: hold down Square while standing near them, then pull Astro away with the Left Stick. To destroy it quickly, hold the Square button down until Astro flashes: release Square and Astro will spin in a whirlwind, letting you hit the dome very rapidly and break it in seconds! The downside to the Spin is that Astro’s movement is more limited: he can’t move or change direction as easily. Press the Square button to make Astro punch the glass and start breaking it a bit. The glass dome protects your means to activating this area. Jump onto each button make the structure retract, revealing a glass dome. ![]() Use the Beam Glide on the glass panels to destroy them and expose the buttons below. This is where you’ll learn how to use the Beam Glide’s secondary feature: the beams! The lasers coming from Astro’s feet deal damage, which makes them great for breaking things and destroying enemies. ![]() Jump up to the top of the structure and note the two glass panels. This gives Astro the maximum height and air time possible! Here’s an essential tip: you can get the most airtime by holding X to jump as high as possible, then pressing X again at the top of the jump. ![]()
